Wrong updateType minor for major update

As you can see in the logs, the obvious major update is classified as minor. My config does not play with such things in any way, so I'm very confused

Renovate is detecting your current resolved version as 7.0.1 (lockedVersion / fixedVersion), so it's correct in saying that 7.1.0 is a minor release - if you can share more info about how you're specifying chardet that'd be appreciated

Thanks, the uv.lock file contained chardet==7.0.1 while the pyproject.toml contained 5.2.0. However, uv did no see any reason to update the lock file. very strange.

In what way? How were you invoking uv to update it?

I executed "uv sync --all-extras --all-groups" but uv did not seem to notice the discrepancy
