I’m the creator of Thunder Client — a lightweight REST API client built specifically for VS Code, designed to eliminate the need to switch between tools.
Launched on March 31, 2021, Thunder Client has since been downloaded by over 6 million developers worldwide.
I had been using Postman for several years, but I noticed that recent updates made it slow to load, and its user interface became confusing. Additionally, it required constantly switching between VS Code and Postman. To solve these problems, I built Thunder Client — a lightweight VS Code extension focused on simplicity, a clean design, and local storage.

I’m a software engineer and product builder with over 15 years of experience creating developer tools and web products.
Since my college days, I’ve been fascinated by early internet startups like YouTube, Flickr, and MySpace. The idea of building something that could spread organically across the internet and be used by millions inspired me to pursue programming. I believed that learning how to build software would give me the freedom to create my own products and companies.
In 2011, I launched my first startup, Localmint, a platform that aggregates store hours and local business information. I successfully scaled Localmint to over 1 million visits per month, gaining deep experience in product development, scaling infrastructure, and running an online business.
Localmint generated enough revenue for me to leave my job in 2013 and work full-time on building startups. While it didn’t become a large company, it gave me something even more valuable — financial independence and the confidence to keep building.
Over the years, I launched several other projects. Although some of them did not succeed, they taught me invaluable lessons about product-market fit, distribution, persistence, and startup execution.
In 2021, my fifth startup finally found strong traction with Thunder Client, a lightweight REST API client built specifically for developers using VS Code. The product quickly went viral in the developer community and has since been downloaded by millions of developers worldwide.
