How do I earn the Starstruck badge on GitHub? #173549
-
Discussion TypeProduct Feedback Discussion ContentHi, What are the exact requirements to receive the Starstruck badge? Is it based on starring a certain number of repositories, or receiving stars on my own repositories? Does it depend on a time frame or specific activity? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks! |

You can earn the Starstruck badge by receiving at least 16 stars on a single public repository.
GitHub awards higher level achievements for more stars on a single repository:
🎖️ Starstruck Badge Levels:
🟫 Default (Starstruck) – 16+ stars
Also available in Bronze, Silver, and Gold achievements.
🟤 Bronze – 128+ stars
⚪ Silver – 512+ stars
🟡 Gold – 4096+ stars
Notes:
Only public repositories count.
Stars must be from different users.
The badge is automatically awarded, you don’t need to manually claim it.
