Hi,
I recently came across the Starstruck badge on GitHub profiles, and I’m curious about how to earn it. I couldn’t find detailed information in the GitHub documentation.

What are the exact requirements to receive the Starstruck badge?

Is it based on starring a certain number of repositories, or receiving stars on my own repositories?

Does it depend on a time frame or specific activity?

Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can earn the Starstruck badge by receiving at least 16 stars on a single public repository.

GitHub awards higher level achievements for more stars on a single repository:

🎖️ Starstruck Badge Levels:
🟫 Default (Starstruck) – 16+ stars

Also available in Bronze, Silver, and Gold achievements.

🟤 Bronze – 128+ stars

⚪ Silver – 512+ stars

🟡 Gold – 4096+ stars

Notes:
Only public repositories count.
Stars must be from different users.
The badge is automatically awarded, you don’t need to manually claim it.

This just doesn't seem to be tru. I have a repo that has over 800 stars, I started it, built it, and grew it, never receiving the achievement

Hey! I just noticed your project has crossed 800+ stars that’s seriously impressive. Congrats on building something people actually find useful.
I was checking out your profile and saw the Starstruck x3 achievement, so it looks like GitHub did register those stars on your account. Maybe the achievements page was just lagging earlier, GitHub can be weird with those sometimes.

Either way, great work on the project. It’s always nice seeing someone grow a repo to that level. Nice connecting with you!
