Today I wasn’t able to select some Claude models even though I’m on a Pro subscription. This issue happens both in VS Code and in the Copilot UI on GitHub.

Hey! I’ve seen this happen sometimes with Copilot.

Even if you have a Pro subscription, some models like Claude might not appear for everyone immediately because GitHub rolls features out gradually or limits them by region/account.

You could try a few quick things:

• Sign out and sign back into GitHub in VS Code
• Update the Copilot extension
• Restart VS Code and refresh Copilot
• Check if the model list updates after a while

If it still doesn’t show up, it might just be a rollout delay and GitHub support should be able to confirm it. Hopefully it appears for you soon!

I understand the frustration — it can definitely be annoying when features you expect aren’t available yet.

From what I’ve seen, GitHub often rolls out model access gradually depending on region, account type, or feature rollout stages. Even with a Pro subscription, some models may take time to appear for all users.

It might still be worth checking with GitHub support to confirm whether the model access is enabled for your account or still being rolled out.

this is bullshit, am gonna sue them, since i pay for this service and they witholding features i pay for !

I get the frustration, but threatening lawsuits here isn’t really going to solve the issue.

Feature availability with Copilot models is often controlled by staged rollouts, account eligibility, or regional restrictions. Even paid subscriptions don’t always guarantee immediate access to every model the moment it appears.

If the model isn’t showing up, the only real path forward is checking the account permissions, waiting for the rollout, or confirming with GitHub support. Posting threats in the thread won’t change how the rollout process works.
