Hello! :)

I tried finding this information, but it wasn't clear from the documentation.
I'm on enterprise plan. Can I host a public GitHub Page for a private repo? Will the repo become public too if the page is public?

Can someone please please help me with this question.

yes, you can host a public GitHub Pages site from a private repository on GitHub Enterprise — and no, the repository will NOT become public! ✅
Here's how it works:

Your repository stays private — source code is hidden
Your GitHub Pages site is publicly accessible — anyone can visit the URL
Only the published static content (HTML, CSS, JS) is visible to the world, not your actual repo files or code

To enable it:

Go to your repo → Settings
Scroll to Pages section
Select your branch (usually main or gh-pages)
Save — your site will be live at username.github.io/repo-name

⚠️ One thing to note — make sure you don't accidentally expose sensitive information in your published HTML/JS files, since those will be publicly visible even though your repo is private.

According to the documentation

GitHub Pages is available ... in public and private repositories with GitHub Pro, GitHub Team, GitHub Enterprise Cloud, and GitHub Enterprise Server. For more information, see GitHub's plans.

Note that you do NOT need to use GitHub Enterprise Cloud. Anyone who said that was hallucinating.
