Currently, list creation and privacy controls are more fully supported on the desktop/web experience; the mobile app may not expose a “create private list” flow. Workaround: open GitHub in a mobile browser and switch to the desktop site, or use the desktop/web interface to create a private list. If you want a permanent mobile feature, post a feature request in the Discussions or GitHub’s mobile issue tracker so product teams see it. |

There does not appear to be a way to create a new list and set it to private on the iOS GitHub app. It will default to public only. It would be great to have that option.
