Github Pages custom name.com domain serving invalid certificate

Hey all, I have a problem. A couple days back my DNS registration for my original domain https://3xion.tech/ expired and I decided to lease out https://3xion.dev/ from name.com instead of renewing it. I leased it and configured the records correctly for github pages, and then I verified it with my account and assigned it to my repo. It passed the DNS check and a couple minutes later the certificate was generated by letsencrypt.com and Enforce HTTPS was enabled. However, despite passing every check, my domain serves a SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER. I've since tried multiple workarounds and nothing has worked. I am stuck, help!
