Twitter alternative?

Just curious, have you considered providing an alternative to Twitter/X for people who want to follow the project but who don't have Twitter accounts? Perhaps Mastodon is worth looking into?

Definitely want to check that out. I'm curious where some of the tech folks ended up... are they still at Twitter, or did they move to Mastodon or Bluesky? Any thoughts?

Several software projects that I follow are on Discord. I personally find Discord annoying to use, but it works to get product announcements and responses to support questions. The NetNewsWire project just moved to Discourse (no relation to Discord). I know of a few companies or projects using Mastodon, like Quad9, VideoLAN, Tenacity. I don’t know about Bluesky.
